Archetype In Jungian theory a primitive mental image inherited from the earliest human ancestors and supposed to be present in the collective unconscious. Carl Jung Carl Jung, in full Carl Gustav Jung, (born July 26, 1875, Kesswil, Switzerland—died June 6, 1961, Küsnacht), Swiss psychologist and psychiatrist who founded analytic psychology, in some aspects a response to Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalysis. Centre This is a word the Self archetype, the Imago Dei, the scared. Deflation Ego Jung saw the ego as the centre of the field of consciousness which contains our conscious awareness of existing and a continuing sense of personal identity. It is the organiser of our thoughts and intuitions, feelings, and sensations, and has access to memories which are not repressed. Inflation When an individual is directly accessing any one of the 4 main archetypes, then they are said to be inflated by that energy. King Lover Magician Psyche Jung maintained that the psyche is a self-regulating system (like the body). The psyche strives to maintain a balance between opposing qualities while at the same time actively seeking its own development or as he called it, individuation. Self The Self, according to Carl Jung, signifies the unification of consciousness and unconsciousness in a person, and representing the psyche as a whole. It is realized as the product of individuation, which in his view is the process of integrating various aspects of one's personality Sign Glossary of Terms Ego
- About | Archetypal Mind Copy
Your personality is developing towards wholeness. you are becoming your true self, an individuated person, with access to your gifts and talents. To do so, you need to understand what the Archetypal Mind is and how to come into harmony and balance with it - this is known as the individuation process We are living through the end-times of an epoch that is rapidly drawing to a close. This juncture represents a transformation of consciousness in each of us, the like which has not been experienced on Earth since the inauguration of the epoch itself, which happened some 75,000 years ago, which heralded the birth of self-awareness in Humans. We can call this epoch the Choice, which signifies a period where Humans have been continuously subjected to a specific dichotomy. Each of us has been going through a process which is leading to a decision, which will determine the evolutionary path which we will take as souls going forward. During that period each of us has had many incarnations, in which we have experienced various scenarios, which have been designed by us, to allow us to make this decision. As the billboards say, which some evangelists wear, the 'time is nigh' to complete that cycle of lives and finally make up our minds, which way we are going to jump! The entire epoch has been an illusion, carefully designed by a higher power, to lead to the Choice by each of us, to select one of two diverging paths, which are fundamentally moral in nature. Within the illusion of the Choice is embedded an ethical duality, to either serve others, through unity, love, acceptance and compassion, or serve the self, through fear, domination, manipulation, ruthlessness and control of others. All other considerations are irrelevant to this decision. The service to others (or Positive polarisation) recognises an overarching unity to the entire Creation; and the service to self (the Negative polarisation) only recognises the individual as important. The former places emphasis upon the unconscious, whilst the latter upon the conscious. We are all Travellers moving through multiple incarnations in space and time in linear physical bodies, and also existing in time and space in non-linear energetic bodies, on an infinite journey, known as the Great Way. The Choice sits within a broad framework of evolutionary templates known as Densities, which have been specifically created to enable Travellers to experience various environments, from a subjective perspective. The transformational period we are in at present, which will last a thousand year or so, will transition Travellers into a new Density of consciousness known as the Understanding. Each Traveller is a unique aspect of the One Infinite Creator, which represents the ultimate reality of undifferentiated unity which pervades the Creation THUS, All separation is a DELIBERATE illusion constructed on a foundation of unity. All of recorded Human history is a set-up, an illusion, a trial through which each of us has been exposed to a series of tests to hone our true preference for one of these two paths. All Human interactions of whatever type, scale or level, be they interpersonal, social, or international, are events that reveal a Choice to either open or close to the other (or groups of others), to hold compassion or contempt for the other, to support or to control the other. Between the two pure paths lays the 'sinkhole of indifference', a continuum of mixed distorted responses to experiences, where neither path is chosen in earnest. However, sooner or later the Traveller within has to make their mind up and choose a path to polarise towards, wherein transformation of the previous patterns of floating back and forth to each pole and expressing mixed approaches comes to an end and progression ensues. That time is now! 'Choose or snooze', as the saying goes, for the bell is tolling and the Choice is upon us all. 'Waking up' is the process of realising that we have all been caught in a mental construct of our own choosing, where we have selected incarnational themes to assist us in resolving this dilemma. Waking up is realising that we all share one consciousness, which underpins and connects all of Creation. Waking up is sloughing off the old limiting patterns and victimhood and walking forward with a clear intention to make the Choice, one way or the other. Each of us has freewill in the form of the Choice, to choose a path to pursue. We can either defend and fortress our wounded selves, by closing our hearts to others, by taking the narcissistic approach that is only interested in one's own perspective, wellbeing and livelihood. Or we can attempt to open our hearts, even though we have experienced mostly heartache, betrayal and rejection, incarceration and torture, because the inner light of compassion for others and the planet, burns bright within us and shines out in an unstoppable torrent of love and forgiveness. We have all manifested an 'Experiential Continuum' around ourselves, for the express purpose of making this Choice. This site recasts Human history in the light of the above. It presents a framework that has been around for the last 50 years, which provides a clear picture of who we really are, what is the nature of reality and where we are going next in the Travellers journey. This framework is known as the Law of One, which provides a holistic explanation of the pathways that all souls take in their infinite spiritual evolution. It is not just a theoretical work; it presents many practices and approaches which can assist us to come to an understanding of the Choice and how we can enact it. This framework is not the whole truth, for all stated truths are at best only half truths. It is a psychologically complex mythology for the coming age, which enables individuals to receive clear impressions which can point us in directions towards our chosen path along the Great Way. The sitewill also explore the Archetypal Mind, which is a mental construct composed of 22 archetypes, concept complexes or personas, which define the structure of the Third Density (the Choice) Human psyche. Each of us is a complex of the mind, body and spirit. Everything that we can possibly do on Earth in any meaningful way, operates in accordance with these 22 archetypes. They represent the natural laws which enable all Humans to grow, learn and make the Choice. Archetypes are special types of concept complexes, which are the blueprints that were chosen for all possible Human interactions on Earth. Each archetype is a persona, which has its own specific characteristics. Each one is a complex of perspectives, consisting of general desires and intentions, each of which has a capacity for certain types of energy exchanges. Each has a certain quality which does not change and has a certain feeling to it. As Humans, we are not able to act outside of their constraints. Yes, they can be polarised towards the positive and negative paths, and of course they can have various distorted presentations, but no decision or action is possible beyond them. The archetypes are designed to inform us of the nature of our minds, which enables the mind to know itself more deeply and thus know the Creator more fully. The deeper aspects of our mind are veiled or hidden from itself in the unconscious. The mind is the bridge between the physical body and the spirit. Patterns and experiences that play out in our lives are driven entirely by the archetypes. Understanding their specific cycles, the sequence of the classifications of each archetype and their outcomes, can provide beneficial insights into our spiritual evolution, growth and learning. Some of us may find ourselves going round-and-round in defeating patterns. This maybe because certain types of archetypes dominate our psyches, which don't allow for natural cycles of sequences of archetypes to complete themselves, which prevents growth. Suffering itself is much misunderstood and maligned, and because of this, it is not worked properly with to produce transformation in our minds, bodies or spiritual growth. Suffering, which is alternatively known as the catalyst, is specifically designed to trigger cycles that assist us to orientate either towards the positive or negative paths. Suffering tends to actually polarise us towards the positive path, whilst positive experiences polarise us towards the negative path. Remember that life in the Third Density Choice is about choosing which path to follow, not about anything else! Therefore, knowing and adopting a certain archetype can be most beneficial. To be clothed or become one enables certain energies, qualities and perceptions to be available to one. This ensures that we are not dominated by our favourites. If we are conflicted in the mind, then we will be conflicted in the body. If the mind is hidden from itself, then the wholeness of the spirit will be hidden from the mind. The Traveller represents the 22nd archetype, sometimes known as the Fool, which is the only subjective persona amongst the other twenty-one objective ones. The Traveller is the subjective witness of the Third Density evolution of the mind body and spirit. It observes the various incarnations, the various characters, the unfolding dramas, the loves lost and the tragedies that befall us. The Traveller determines what to hold onto, what to release and when it is time to progress to a new experience. The Traveller is present to all, standing just out of view. But on occasion it falls back out of the flow and determines whether to continue or not with what is currently being experienced. You are a unique Traveller, who is the both the observer and the observed, capering through eternity, without home, with nothing but faith and curiosity for the mysteries of the Cosmos and the yearning to join once again with the Creator. We follow the path laid out by the One, through thick and thin, up and down, death and rebirth, searching endlessly for experience after experience, so that the inner witness of the Traveller (the Creator) can know itself. This is the game of Leela, the Universal drama of hide and seek, love lost, and love found, of divergence and renewal, crucifixion and resurrection. Welcome to the Law of One and the Choice! Read More > Anchor 1 I have been writing down my thoughts, ideas, emotions and theories for a long time. Within the last ten years or so, they have progressed into coherent essays, articles and a book of thematic meditative poems. Ostensibly, as I have recently discovered, I was really writing for myself. A part or an aspect of me desired to capture the interpretation of my own experiences, into coherent collections of conceptual complexes. My writings are a sort of autobiography of my conscious development, a collection of perspectives gathered into metaphysical groupings, which attempt to make some sort of sense, at least to me, of myself and the world around me, when perceived from my subjective perspective. I have been conditioned, just like everybody else, by my past events, which have shaped my outlook. The endeavour that I undertake is to discern the nature of that conditioning and slowly release myself from its constraints. My central objective is to free myself from whatever it is that limits me. I seek to unveil whatever is veiled from my conscious awareness. I'm in search of my authentic essence nature. As I have written about in Two Halves of Life , in the first half of my life, I searched for meaning and purpose in the outside world of objective experiences, constituted by places, substances, relationships, incidents and the enterprise of truth seeking, through devouring vast quantities of diverse knowledge. It was only at the age of forty-seven that I realised my own apparent 'emotional brokenness,' did that exploration turn inwards and I conceded that I was somehow repressing unprocessed trauma in my unconscious, which was impacting how I perceived myself and the external world. Over the ensuing period to the present, this has led me to deeply explore that inner landscape, using a variety of approaches, tools, modalities and metaphysical frameworks. Earlier this year I launched Archetypal Mind because I wanted to open myself to the external environment, by effectively saying, "I am sufficiently confident in the coherence of my collected perspectives, that I am able to reveal them to the World." These perspectives represent the 'fringe.' They don't align at all with the 'mainstream' whatsoever! Some might say that they are subversive, radical, non-conformist, spiritual woo-woo! And from the mainstream's perspective, I would agree that they are, or at least appear to be. However, I'm aware that history describes many such undertakings, by radical fringe explorers, which retrospectively have been seen as critical and necessary junctures, which have been revolutionary aspects in paradigm shifts. I am not counting myself into that group, merely echoing a well-known dynamic in human development. I don't present myself as an 'activist', nor a revolutionary! I am not a scientist, nor a philosopher. I don't even see myself as a spiritual, as such, because the term is loaded with connotations which categorise and diminish my aspirations. If I have a leaning, it is towards psychology, only because as I have stated in my article 'Psychology - The Master Discipline ,' the study of why we think and act the way we do as a species, is fundamental to our exploration of ourselves and the nature of reality. I have no 'formal' training in any discipline whatsoever! This leaves me free to contemplate a decentralised approach to the previously stated exploration in the last sentence. The only authority that I have is the personal, intimate, investigation into myself and the continuous observation of others and my interactions with them. I'm committed to the examination of my shadow aspects, which I can't directly see. In pursuit of this I'm prepared to over-own my shadow, to minimise the possibility of under-owning it, based upon the assumption that humans by nature tend to be less accountable than more. I'm by no means claiming that I'm perfect at this; however, since the principle aim of my endeavour is to exhume, meet and resolve my conditioning, through opening my heart to myself and others in love, compassion and forgiveness, owning what is in my shadow is of the highest importance. I therefore assume the darkest and then draw back towards the light as 'others' ratify triangulated positions into my feedback mechanism. As explained in my article 'What Are Meta-Teachings and Why Are They Useful,' My adopted position upon 'truth' is based upon the principle that at the heart of reality is a mystery, which will forever remain so, no matter how far we evolve, or how advanced our science and technology becomes. Secondary to that is the assumption that all truths can only be at best 'half-truths,' based upon the acceptance of dualisms at work within our minds. Within my work, truth is not the destination! In fact, there is no destination, for the journey is more important than the arrival at a place, position or stance. So why should you read my work? Well, the only claims that I make are to faithfully follow my own intuition, which arises within me. To not only talk-the-talk, but to walk-the-talk, and live life as a physical extension of their conceptualisation, as a practice, no matter what the risk appears to be. For any fear is just conditioning, which resists the moment we find ourselves within. I will push the edge beyond the comfort zone, throwing everything 'on the line' to open all aspects of myself to the unknown mystery, out beyond the cultural enclosure. I will meet myself again and again, letting go of all that no longer serves my highest evolution. I vow to serve humanity in whatever way that I'm called to, not from without, but from within. I will aspire to balance the shadow and follow my heart, dropping conception after ideation, after construct, allowing all that arises to be met with acceptance. Fame, wealth and power are of no interest to my purpose, for they are encumbrances from the epoch that is passing away. Self-evaluation, self-realisation and self-development represent the holy trinity of thesis, anthesis and synthesis, deconstructing objectivity to open into the infinitude of wholeness, as the many unite into the One. My deepest undertaking is to realise fullness, not just as a mental process, but also as an embodied and spiritual process, in the initiation of releasing identity with my conditioning. I align myself with the journey of the Traveller, or more specifically the Fool detailed in my blog entitled 'The Great Way - The Travellers Journey.' My perspective is one of integral-realisation or simply integralisation. It is the conscious integration of the various stages of conscious development discussed in my article 'Levels of Consciousness', from archaic, through magic, mythic, rational, plural, resulting in the unification of the integral and super integral, where these differing levels of experience, are integrated into a multi-dimensional, continuum of experiences, from which to choose from, which orientates me towards the Choice. For me that comes down to two paths: Serving Others or Serving the Separate Self. Each of us has freewill in the form of the Choice, to choose a path to pursue. We can either defend and fortress our wounded selves, by closing our hearts to others, by taking the narcissistic approach that is only interested in one's own perspective, wellbeing and livelihood. Or we can attempt to open our hearts, even though we have probably experienced mostly heartache, betrayal and rejection, incarceration and torture, because the inner light of compassion for others and the planet, burns bright within us and shines out in an unstoppable torrent of love and forgiveness. We have all manifested an 'Experiential Continuum' around ourselves, for the express purpose of making this Choice. Therefore: I hereby irrevocably choose service to the One Infinite Creator, to the Great Mother, which is the Intelligent Energy of Universal Kinetic manifestation, to all beings everywhere, to planet Earth, who is Gaia, and to all species of biological life upon and in her. I make this choice out of my own freewill, with the greatest of intention. I commit to reviewing my actions and thoughts in order to perceive and rectify unconscious, patterns, beliefs and thoughts that misalign with the service of my separate self, who defends itself, justifies itself, and judges itself and others. I vow to see, greet and accept the shadow in all choices, actions and beliefs with love, compassion, balancing the darkness within the self, within others, and within the creation. I fervently desire to bring forth what gifts and talents lay within me to aid and assist the other, without impinging upon their freewill, in making the Choice for themselves at this time. I pledge to search out and free myself from any impediment within me that impacts my ability to achieve any of the above. So, dear reader, this site will be dedicated to those who wish to open themselves up to a life of devotion to the wellbeing of others, which includes the planet and all life upon it. The Matrix of the Mind - The Magician - Archetype One Provides a summary of the first archetype of the Archetypal Mind Small Title Helvetica Light is an easy-to-read font, with tall and narrow letters, that works well on almost every site. The Magician, also known as the Matrix of the Mind, is the first archetype in the Tarot according to Ra. It represents the conscious mind, the starting point of mental and spiritual development, where the potential for creation and manifestation begins. This archetype holds significant symbolism and insights into the nature of the mind and its role in the journey of self-discovery and evolution. The Symbolism of the Magician The Male Figure in White: The Magician is depicted as a male figure wearing all white, symbolizing the emptiness and purity of the conscious mind. The white clothing represents the "unfed mind," a state of potential and openness but lacking depth or content. This signifies that the conscious mind is ready to be filled with experiences, thoughts, and emotions, but it initially has no substance or inwardness. The Gold Circlet and Ouroboros: The figure wears a gold circlet on his head, symbolizing enlightenment, wisdom, and the higher aspirations of the conscious mind. The ouroboros around his waist, a serpent eating its own tail, represents the cyclical nature of life, eternity, and the infinite potential of the mind. It also indicates the idea of self-sustaining processes, such as the continuous cycle of learning and growth that the conscious mind undergoes. The Magical Orb: In his right hand, the Magician holds a magical orb. This orb represents the conscious mind's desire for experiences of thought and emotion. The circular shape of the orb signifies the spiritual nature of the desires that the conscious mind seeks to fulfil. It emphasizes the idea that the mind's quests and longings are ultimately directed towards spiritual growth and understanding. The Pointing Hand: The Magician points with his left hand towards a box, reinforcing the conscious mind's yearning for knowledge and experience. This gesture signifies the active pursuit of understanding and the drive to explore the unknown. It illustrates the conscious mind's proactive role in seeking out and engaging with the world around it. The Box and the Bird: The box, which the Magician points to, has thick, dark walls and contains a flightless bird. The box symbolizes the physical illusion and the material world through which the conscious mind must navigate. The bird represents the spirit, which is trapped and unable to fly, symbolizing the restlessness and entrapment of the spirit within the confines of the physical world. The thick, dark walls of the box represent the unconscious mind, which acts as a barrier that the conscious mind must penetrate to free the spirit. The Checkered Base: The bottom of the box has a checkered pattern, indicating the moral polarity inherent in the physical world. This pattern represents the duality of existence, the constant interplay between positive and negative forces, and the necessity for the conscious mind to discern and navigate these polarities in its journey of growth. The Role of the Magician in Personal Evolution The Conscious Mind as the Initiator: The Magician archetype highlights the conscious mind's role as the initiator of personal and spiritual development. It underscores the idea that conscious awareness and intentionality are crucial for beginning the journey of self-discovery. The Magician, as the Matrix of the Mind, is where thoughts, ideas, and aspirations originate, setting the stage for deeper exploration and transformation. Desire for Knowledge and Experience: The Magician's depiction emphasizes the conscious mind's inherent desire for knowledge and experience. These longing drives individual to seek understanding, engage with the world, and accumulate wisdom. The magical orb and the pointing gesture symbolize this quest, showing that the conscious mind is always reaching out for more, striving to expand its horizons. Navigating the Physical Illusion: The box with the trapped bird signifies the challenges and limitations imposed by the physical world. The conscious mind must work within these constraints to unlock the spirit's potential and achieve liberation. This aspect of the Magician archetype teaches that true growth requires navigating and overcoming the obstacles presented by material existence. The Intersection of Mind and Spirit: The interplay between the conscious mind (represented by the Magician) and the spirit (symbolized by the bird) highlights the interconnectedness of mental and spiritual realms. The conscious mind's actions directly impact the spirit's ability to express and manifest. This relationship illustrates that personal evolution is a holistic process involving both mental and spiritual dimensions. The Importance of Moral Polarity: The checkered base of the box reminds us of the moral choices that underpin our existence. The conscious mind must continually make decisions that align with positive or negative paths, contributing to the individual's overall growth and alignment with spiritual principles. This aspect of the Magician archetype underscores the significance of ethical discernment in the journey of self-discovery. The Magician in Practice Cultivating Awareness: Embracing the Magician archetype involves cultivating a heightened state of awareness. This means being mindful of thoughts, desires, and actions, and recognizing their impact on personal growth. By consciously engaging with the world and seeking knowledge, individuals can harness the potential of the conscious mind to initiate positive change. Overcoming Limitations: The Magician teaches that overcoming the limitations of the physical world is essential for spiritual liberation. This involves not only navigating external obstacles but also delving into the depths of the unconscious mind to uncover and release hidden aspects of the self. By doing so, individuals can free the trapped spirit and achieve a greater sense of wholeness. Balancing Polarity: Integrating the lessons of the Magician requires balancing the polarities of existence. This means making ethical choices, embracing both light and dark aspects of the self, and striving for harmony in all areas of life. By recognizing and working with moral polarity, individuals can create a solid foundation for continued growth and evolution. Harnessing Desire for Growth: The Magician's focus on the desire for knowledge and experience highlights the importance of channelling this longing towards constructive and spiritually aligned pursuits. By setting clear intentions and actively seeking opportunities for learning and development, individuals can harness the conscious mind's power to drive meaningful transformation. In summary, the Magician, or the Matrix of the Mind, represents the conscious mind's role as the initiator of personal and spiritual growth. Through its symbolism and lessons, this archetype teaches the importance of awareness, ethical discernment, and the pursuit of knowledge and experience. By embracing the Magician's qualities, individuals can navigate the challenges of the physical world, unlock the spirit's potential, and achieve holistic growth and transformation. Let us start at a place of simple understanding, regarding the two types of perceptual planes that humans have their existence in. This will assist us in the discussions, articles and blogs, which form the content of this site. This framework is crucial to comprehending a clearer understanding of the significance of the impact that the Archetypal Mind has upon the beliefs and behaviours of Humanity. < Back Article 1 - The Two Worlds Let us start at a place of simple understanding, regarding the two types of perceptual planes that humans have their existence in. This will assist us in the discussions, articles and blogs, which form the content of this site. This framework is crucial to comprehending a clearer understanding of the significance of the impact that the Archetypal Mind has upon the beliefs and behaviours of Humanity. There are two realms that Man lives in. The first is the exterior world of things, places, events and people, distributed in space and time, known as the Universe (Exterior). The second is an interior realm of thoughts, intuitions, dreams, feelings and sensations, beyond time and space, known as the psyche (Interior). The first world is perceived from an Exterior objective perspective, the second from an Interior subjective perspective. The Exterior is physical, composed of delineated objects of form, made up of subatomic, atomic and molecular particles, presumed to be universal and subject to the laws and constants of physics. The Interior is non-physical, made up of various psychic structures of the mind. The Exterior is finite, and the Interior is infinite. I am making these distinctions, so that we can clearly orientate ourselves between our Exterior and Interior, so that we don't confuse the two. In actuality, this happens more often than we are aware of. So much so, that we inadvertently superimpose one upon the other, creating all manner of confusions and misunderstandings. The Interior often intrudes into Exterior, distorting our perception of it. All of the sciences, including maths, pertain to the Exterior, whilst theology (The study of the nature of God and religious truth; rational inquiry into religious questions), mythology and psychology to the Interior. Philosophy attempts to bridge both realms, to seal the breach. The Exterior is seen and known or knowable at least. The Interior is not seen nor known. Some say that the Exterior is the source of the Interior, whilst others reverse the order. The simple question is, do things grow from the outside in, or the inside out? I suggest that we look to nature for that answer to that question. According to the Big Bang Theory, the Universe apparently began with nothing, out of which all of the immense complexity of the Exterior physical realm arose. Science, it seems, has also admitted, that the Exterior is to be regarded as 99.99999% empty space! So, it starts with nothing and is composed of mostly, well, nothing! The Interior realm by contrast is not empty. At birth, the individual psyche itself commences with preformed psychic structures, known as the Objective Psyche, consisting of the personal and collective unconscious. Objective society is composed of subjective humans - without the later, we would not have the former. All stems from what is inside, driven by hidden processes, coupling together in distributed and interconnected interior ecologies. Science, the objective observer and empiricist, can only look at supermicro segments of the interior and infer broader macro conclusions about. It can't look at whole interiorities. Interior does not just mean when we close our eyes. Interior means the psyche and its content, the internal space which hosts, dreams, thoughts, feelings, sensations and most of all knowing. This last item is the culminating conscious power of the psyche, without which none of the former could be, well, known! Previous Next

Meditative poem on the nature of the spiritual path of individuation < Back Poignant Scenes of Destiny & Fate Hugh Maloney 25 Apr 2023 Meditative poem on the nature of the spiritual path of individuation In the burning light of Human endeavour Which attempts to resolve all sorrow, Have I disavowed my own individuality, Decrying the process of sublimated individuation, Which forfeits my alienation from the image of wholeness? To fall, is to enter the darkness of turpitude, Seeking redemption from a power that has Seemingly forsaken me to the perils of Self-realised revelation ... Continually, I crucify myself upon the cross Of my own salvation, Surrendering false identification With archetypal instincts - The Temptations of the Beatitudes Echo around the chamber of my heart, Distilled into incitation's of reflective guidance, Which denounce the paradoxical destination Of the heavenly gate ... Softly I tread upon the egoic stimulus That defies this stolen mediocrity, Plying all guile to the mill of futile Denouncements of absolutism - To walk upon this Earth Is to be both Man and God, Absorbed in the Gnosis of being Tricked again and again by The shapeshifting fool, Disguised as both saviour and devil ... Am I not the sum of the Holy Grail, And all who seek it, Dispersed upon the winds of change, Degraded and made whole, In equal measures of shame and joy? To wit, I know not the way home, Or what carriage Should carry me there, Nor the myth that tells my tale - I am humbled into ubiquitous submission By the Harpies of indifferent suspicion and fear - For I am lost and found, Stranded and free, Saved and disowned, Swinging back and forth, From one position to the other, Spinning on the wheel of fire That burns my soul in the Transforming crucible of Life, death and rebirth ... If I should fail thee and inadvertently dupe thy heart, Think well of the curses and foul deeds I carry, The misbegotten tortures I have endured, The incarcerations from the light of justice, The abject poverty of rejections writ large Upon this crippled body, The broken-hearted betrayals That rupture my optimistic countenance, Depressing me into oblivion ... In desperation, I approach the vanquished Eden From both East and West Recapitulating my eternal quest - Asking for forgiveness, I lay my determined sword and shield In front of the Cherubim guarded gates - This turn I seek the Centre, Balancing Air and Earth, Fire and Water Till my cup is full to overflowing - For I have tasted from the Tree of Knowledge Without count - Now I push on through to the Tree of Life, To prostrate in gracious genuflection To the Imago Dei, To await judgement upon my unknown fate ... There, its emissaries Sophia, Yahweh, Lucifer, Osiris, Christ and Melchizedek, Sit in council, determining my destiny, Out beyond this mortal coil, Sprung tight around the highest throne, Wreathed in an exalted reflection of luminous unity - For love and light are forever intertwined, In the distortions of manifestation and destruction, Bequeathed from the Creator, Fluxing in the contradiction and incongruities Of its own image ... Poem on the need to Individuate < Back To Individuate or Not to Individuate ... Hugh Maloney 25 Apr 2023 Poem on the need to Individuate We are ashamed to love ourselves, too brazen to fall for that old trick - Immediate are our concerns, forestalled in thick fastidious tribe of Gaia … The gem of our being, hidden in the coat of Earth, travels the sooty road of Redemption, searching for its lost parts, spread wide on the chimeric waters - Life after life, penetrating the mind-fields of psychic space, qualifying the soul-matrix, Weighing its worth, against a future sacrifice … This arcanum, this opus of culminating salvation, Surrendering all dignity to the shadow, All persecutions to perdition, all solitude to delusion ... I bow to the sun, genuflect to moon, tipping my trope to the stars, rejoicing in the great Dance of being an individual - always out of time, a stranger in one's own land, living Beyond the pale, far from the cultural enclosure, deep in the desert of the forest … And yet the dupe of Maya holds all majesty, Tight with in its duplicitous folds, forlorn and fragile spoken - It speaks of worth by the honour of integrity, virtue by decree of fortitude, Grace by bestowal of gratitude - Clear waters lap kindly upon these soft shores, Blowing brightly on covered preludes to forgiveness, deep in the hole of grief - Faith lines the pathway to paradise, righting the fallen body in the deep mid-winter, Circumventing the chill of rejection, sublimating the bittersweet betrayal, Softening all destitution, strengthening the will towards the plan of heaven ... To indivduate or not to indivduate, that is the dilemma - Is it nobler in the psyche to suffer the barbs and triggers of outrageous subjectivity, Or by withdrawing projection, end a sea of shadows, accepting them as our own - What visions may arise in the ascennsion of the unique, as mirror to the many... Great Way of the Body -Archetype Fourteen- Provides a summary of the fourteenth archetype of the Archetypal Mind Small Title Helvetica Light is an easy-to-read font, with tall and narrow letters, that works well on almost every site. In the Law of One material, the archetypes form a fundamental part of understanding the structure and evolution of the mind, body, and spirit. The Great Way of the Body is the total environment within which the body evolves on its journey toward self-knowledge. It depicts the union of the conscious and unconscious body in perfect agreement, acting as one. Unlike the Transformation archetypes, which are brief and liminal, the Great Way is enduring: anyone who pursues inner evolution expresses it to some degree, and it remains active. Overview of the Archetype The Great Way of the Body is symbolized by an androgynous human figure with wings on their back and feet, standing facing to their left. The figure holds a silver cup in one hand and a gold cup in the other, pouring liquid from the silver into the gold. The figure is clad only in a sash draped over the left shoulder. Behind the figure’s head the sun shines, and above their head there is a tongue of fire. Symbolic Elements The Androgynous Figure and the Wings The androgynous human figure represents a union of the conscious and unconscious body. The veil is not lifted in any special way; rather, the union represents perfect agreement between the two: they act as one. The wings on the back represent the wings of spirit. Note the resemblances between this image and the image for the Catalyst of the Mind: the unconscious mind holds a bird with wings in the same configuration and behind her head a sun shines. In both images the Logos informs and acts through the mind, opening the way for the flight of spirit. The wings signify the spirit’s incarnation into the physical world through its intimate contact with the mind. In this archetype we become angelic messengers rather than mere recipients of the message. The tongue of fire reiterates this same concept. The Winged Feet, Sash, and Cups The winged feet, reminiscent of the Greek god Hermes, represent swift movement. This swiftness imparts a sense of urgency to the persona of this archetype, arising from the brevity of human life. The sash is the protection the archetype enjoys. In this image it is minimal and heavier on the left side. Vulnerability is one of the dominant features of the right-hand path in the body cycle. The right and left hands of the unified body are the conscious body and the unconscious body. The liquid poured from one cup to the other represents the stream of psychic energy. Coming from the silver cup, it has the characteristics of the mental states of the unconscious mind: emotion, image, and holistic concept. The pouring of the liquid represents the refinement and purification of crude and destructive desires and emotions into subtle and healthy emotional states. This purification happens because these energies have entered into the manifest reality and all the various consequences of these energies have played out. Functions and Dynamics The Great Way of the Body shows the inescapable nature of inner evolution for the body. The Fool, having developed critical distance from the Significator, can now identify with a different Significator. This capacity extends free will beyond mere articulation of the existing Significator; the Significator can become something different entirely. The Great Way is dependent upon its notable difference from the Significator because the veiling process has created a new architecture of the body within which choice is possible. The Alchemist is the persona of this archetype. Ra, when asked why the archetype is called “The Alchemist,” replies that one may see the body as providing the athanor through which the alchemist manifests gold. An athanor is an oven used by alchemists to accomplish the transmutation of lead into gold. The Role of Catalysts Catalysts continue to arise within the environment of the Great Way. The pouring of the liquid from silver to gold shows the refinement of energies that have already entered the manifest reality. Each choice of polarity reinforces and powers the last, carving a pathway that makes subsequent steps along the same path more likely. The winged feet indicate that forward motion occurs with a sense of urgency arising from the brevity of life. After each transformation the body rests, observes, and becomes familiar with the new configuration of the Significator before the next opportunity for critical distance arises. Veiling and Unveiling The veil between conscious and unconscious body remains present, yet the structure of the Great Way shows that the two act as one when they are in perfect agreement. The sash is minimal, indicating that vulnerability is characteristic of the right-hand path. The sun behind the head and the tongue of fire above show the Logos informing and acting through the body, opening the way for the flight of spirit. Unveiling occurs as the stream of psychic energy is refined through the consequences that have already played out in the physical world. Polarity and Balance On the right-hand path the body submits itself to the greater authority of the spirit, allowing the spirit to draw the body forward. On the left-hand path the body subjugates the spirit to its own authority, moving forward on willpower alone. The Alchemist has a clear sense of what is wanted and who is. There is no internal conflict; all inner resources are oriented in the same direction. This harmonic orientation is what gives the Alchemist strength. Choosing a morally polarized path is self-reinforcing: when the conscious body chooses to see the unconscious body according to a pure polarized ideal, the unconscious body responds with evidence that affirms that ideal, deepening the groove of the chosen path. Integration and Transformation The Great Way does not replace the Lesser Cycle; it provides the larger environment within which the Lesser Cycle continues. After each Transformation the body rests, observes, and becomes familiar with the new configuration of the Significator before the next opportunity for critical distance arises. The stop-and-go motion of the winged feet makes this alternation visible. Anyone who embraces and pursues inner evolution expresses the Great Way to some degree; when expressed purely and without significant distortion, it remains active. The body provides the athanor through which the alchemist manifests gold—the refinement of the energies of the body complex into a more polarized form. Practical Application In practical terms, working with the Great Way of the Body involves recognizing that the environment of the body is always present and that choices of polarity carve pathways that reinforce themselves. Meditation and body-awareness practices can reveal when the conscious and unconscious body are acting in agreement and when they are not. The work is not to force a final state but to notice the stream of psychic energy as it is refined through the consequences that have already played out and to align the body with the covenant of spirit so that forward motion continues with the urgency that arises from the brevity of life. Summary The Great Way of the Body is the total environment within which the body evolves toward self-knowledge. Through its symbolism of the androgynous figure with wings, the pouring of liquid from silver to gold, the minimal sash, and the sun and tongue of fire, it shows how the conscious and unconscious body may act as one, how psychic energy is refined through the consequences of manifestation, and how the spirit incarnates into the physical world through intimate contact with the mind. This archetype guides the seeker to recognize the enduring nature of inner evolution, to observe the self-reinforcing pathways carved by prior choices, and to allow the Alchemist within to guide the body forward in alignment with the spirit. What Are Archetypes Provides an explanation of what are the Law of One Archetypes Small Title Helvetica Light is an easy-to-read font, with tall and narrow letters, that works well on almost every site. Overview of Archetypes in the Ra Material The Law of One archetypes are multilayered, energetic, and mystical constructs that shape the human psyche. They operate on personal, collective, energetic, and mystical levels, guiding our growth, transformation, and spiritual evolution. Through their symbolic language, archetypes offer a rich tapestry of wisdom and insight, helping us navigate the complexities of life and connect with the divine essence within and around us. The Nature of Archetypes : Archetypes are seen as universal patterns or symbols that reside in the collective unconscious. They are inherent in all individuals and are pivotal for spiritual growth and self-realization. In Ra’s system, the archetypes are divided into three categories: the mind, the body, and the spirit, each comprising seven archetypes, making a total of 21. The Mind Archetypes: These are the primary focus and include the Matrix of the Mind, Potentiator of the Mind, Catalyst of the Mind, Experience of the Mind, Significator of the Mind, Transformation of the Mind, and the Great Way of the Mind. Each of these stages represents different aspects and processes of mental evolution and consciousness expansion. The Body Archetypes: These archetypes describe the physical experiences and the incarnate lessons. They include the Matrix, Potentiator, Catalyst, Experience, Significator, Transformation, and Great Way of the Body. They illustrate how physical reality and bodily experiences contribute to spiritual growth. The Spirit Archetypes: These deal with the metaphysical aspects and include the Matrix, Potentiator, Catalyst, Experience, Significator, Transformation, and Great Way of the Spirit. They represent the spiritual journey and the interactions between the physical and metaphysical realms. Symbolism and Function Each archetype in Ra's Tarot is rich in symbolism, designed to guide individuals through their spiritual journey. The archetypes function as tools for self-reflection and understanding, allowing individuals to explore and integrate different aspects of their psyche. For example, the Matrix of the Mind, often depicted as "The Magician," symbolizes the conscious mind's ability to create and manifest reality through will and intention. It represents the starting point of the mental journey, emphasizing awareness and self-empowerment. Application in Spiritual Practice Studying these archetypes is intended to facilitate spiritual growth by helping individuals understand their experiences and their responses to various life events. By meditating on these archetypes, individuals can uncover deeper layers of their subconscious, address inner conflicts, and achieve greater alignment with their higher self. The Ra Material suggests that these archetypes are not merely theoretical concepts but practical tools that can be used in daily life to navigate challenges and foster personal development. Layers of Archetypes Personal Layer: On the surface, archetypes manifest through individual experiences and personal unconscious. They are the lenses through which we view our lives, shaping our dreams, fears, aspirations, and relationships. For instance, the archetype of the Hero might emerge in our personal story as moments of courage and struggle, urging us to overcome obstacles and achieve our goals. Collective Layer: Beneath the personal layer lies the collective unconscious, where archetypes reside as shared symbols across humanity. This layer connects us to the universal patterns and themes that transcend individual differences. Myths, folklore, and cultural narratives are rich repositories of these archetypes, revealing the common threads that unite human experiences across time and space. Energetic Layer: Archetypes also exist as energetic imprints within the psyche, influencing our emotional and psychological states. These energetic patterns resonate with specific vibrations, aligning us with certain qualities and behaviors. For example, the archetype of the Lover embodies the energy of connection, passion, and compassion, influencing how we form relationships and express love. Mystical Layer: At the deepest level, archetypes are mystical gateways to the divine and the infinite. They serve as bridges between the conscious mind and the higher realms of existence, facilitating spiritual insights and awakening. Meditating on archetypes like the Sage or the Mystic can lead to profound experiences of inner wisdom, enlightenment, and union with the divine. Energetic and Mystical Dynamics Transformation and Integration: Archetypes are dynamic forces that drive transformation and integration within the psyche. Engaging with these symbols allows us to access hidden aspects of ourselves, bringing unconscious patterns into awareness. This process of integration helps us achieve wholeness, balancing the various facets of our personality and aligning with our true self. Shadow and Light: Each archetype contains both shadow and light aspects, representing the dualities within us. The shadow aspect holds the repressed, denied, or unacknowledged parts of ourselves, while the light aspect embodies our highest potential and virtues. Embracing both sides of an archetype, such as the Warrior's courage and its potential for aggression, enables us to harness its full power responsibly. Cosmic Resonance: Archetypes resonate with the larger cosmos, reflecting the universal laws and principles that govern existence. They are the microcosmic representations of the macrocosmic order, linking our personal experiences to the greater cosmic dance. This resonance invites us to align our lives with the natural rhythms and cycles of the universe, fostering harmony and balance. Mystical Exploration Engaging with archetypes through mystical practices, such as meditation, visualization, and dream work, opens pathways to higher consciousness and spiritual awakening. These practices allow us to connect with the archetypal energies on a deeper level, facilitating profound shifts in perception and understanding. By exploring the archetypal realms, we gain insights into our soul's journey, uncovering the deeper meanings and purposes behind our earthly experiences. Next Article

A summary of the the Choice in Third density from the law of one or the Ra Material The Structure of the Archetypal Mind for Our Third Density Illusion Small Title Helvetica Light is an easy-to-read font, with tall and narrow letters, that works well on almost every site. The Archetypal Mind, as explained in "The Tarot According to Ra," serves as a blueprint for the experiential nature of mind, body, and spirit within our third-density illusion. This blueprint is designed to guide entities through their spiritual evolution, allowing them to learn necessary lessons and progress to higher densities. The Cycles and Classifications of the Archetypal Mind The Archetypal Mind comprises 22 archetypes, structured into three cycles: the mind cycle, the body cycle, and the spirit cycle. Each cycle contains seven archetypes, and these cycles collectively describe the processes of lesson-learning embedded within third density. The final archetype, The Choice, unifies all cycles and classifications, emphasizing the importance of conscious decision-making in spiritual evolution. Mind Cycle: This cycle includes archetypes that describe the mental processes and experiences. Body Cycle: This cycle covers archetypes related to physical experiences and bodily control. Spirit Cycle: This cycle deals with spiritual experiences and the connection to the divine. Each cycle is further divided into classifications that describe specific aspects of experience: Matrix : The fundamental structure or environment in which experiences occur. Potentiator : The latent potential within the Matrix that can be activated. Catalyst : Events or stimuli that activate the Potentiator. Experience : The outcome of the interaction between Catalyst and Matrix. Significator : The core identity or self, resulting from the Experience. Transformation : The process of profound change affecting the Significator. Great Way: The overarching path or journey of the cycle. Lesser and Great Cycles The cycles of the Archetypal Mind can be viewed as "lesser cycles" and "great cycles." Lesser cycles refer to the individual experiences and lessons within a single incarnation or lifetime. These cycles are part of the day-to-day learning and growth of an entity. Great cycles, on the other hand, encompass the broader, more profound journeys that span multiple incarnations. These great cycles represent the cumulative spiritual evolution of an entity as it progresses through various densities towards unity with the Creator. Lesser Cycles: Short-term learning experiences within a single lifetime. These consist of the Matrx, Potentiator, Catalyst and Experience. Great Cycles: Long-term spiritual evolution over many lifetimes and densities. Theses consist of the Significator, Transformation and the Great Way. Detailed Examination of Archetypes The Archetypal Mind's structure facilitates understanding by dividing the archetypes into the following seven classifications for each cycle: Matrix: Represents the foundational environment or framework. For example, the Matrix of the Mind symbolizes the conscious mind's fundamental structure. Potentiator: The latent energy or potential that can be activated. In the Mind cycle, this would be the unconscious mind. Catalyst: Events or influences that trigger changes. Catalysts are necessary for growth and learning. Experience: The personal outcomes or changes resulting from interactions with Catalysts. Significator : The core self or identity that is shaped by Experiences. Transformation: The significant changes and metamorphoses that occur, altering the Significator. Great Way: The overarching spiritual journey or path that integrates all experiences and transformations. Importance of The Choice The Choice is a unique archetype that does not belong to any specific cycle or classification. It represents the conscious decision to follow a path of service to others or service to self, which is central to the Law of One philosophy. This archetype underscores the importance of free will and conscious decision-making in spiritual evolution. It highlights the pivotal role of making ethical and moral choices in aligning with the Creator's will and advancing through densities. Symbolism and Function of Archetypes Each archetype functions both as a particle and a wave, having a unique vibration and resonance that interacts with other archetypes. This dual nature allows for a dynamic interplay between different aspects of experience, facilitating growth and learning. Archetypes serve as personas, representing various facets of self and providing a framework for understanding personal and collective experiences. Personas: Each archetype embodies a specific persona with distinct characteristics, desires, and capacities for energy expenditure. Dynamic Interactions : The interplay between archetypes creates a rich tapestry of experiences, driving the evolution of the mind, body, and spirit. The Role of the Veil The concept of the veil plays a crucial role in the Archetypal Mind. It separates the conscious mind from the unconscious, creating a distinction between known and unknown aspects of self. This separation allows for the development of free will and the experience of choice, essential for spiritual growth. The veil intensifies experiences, making catalysts more vivid and increasing the potential for learning and transformation. Summary The Archetypal Mind is a complex system designed to guide entities through their third-density experiences, facilitating spiritual growth and evolution. By understanding the structure and function of the archetypes, individuals can navigate their journeys with greater awareness and purpose, ultimately progressing towards unity with the Creator. The interplay of lesser and great cycles, along with the classifications of archetypes, provides a comprehensive framework for interpreting the lessons and experiences encountered on the path of spiritual development.
